I learnt a lot about consumer product engineering during
3.5 years as a design engineer at Dyson

I worked in new product development designing various floorcare products, most notably of which were a new range of ball vacuum cleaners DC24 & DC25. Launched 2008

My role included:

  • Design Engineering
  • Devising benchmark test procedures
  • Detailed tolerance stack analysis
  • Process Improvement

I also spent 6 months in a mechanical engineering role helping to develop a new Dyson Digital Motor.

My main task on DC25 was the design development of the ball assembly in a team of three:
